Quan Yin is the bodhisattva associated with compassion as venerated by East Asian Buddhists, usually as a female. The name Guanyin (Quan Yin) is short for Guanshiyin which means "Observing the Sounds (or Cries) of the World".
Quan Yin is also seen as the champion of the unfortunate, the sick, the disabled, the poor, and those in trouble.
The dragon, an ancient symbol for high spirituality, wisdom, strength, and divine powers of transformation, is a common motif found in combination with the Goddess of Mercy.
She is approximately 19 inches high and is sculpted of polymer clay.
